"Tell to this Generation: TO MARCH ON!"
Sharing on Vocation Promotion and Youth Ministry/Initial and On-Going Formation
The moderator asked the Sisters once again to form groups of 3 and share on one of the 2 following questions:
Does the formation we offer take what is essential, fundamental sufficiently into consideration?
How does formation encourage faith in daily living?
Report from the Mission Centre
Sr. Lucille Viau, the Director, presented the Mission Centre and its objectives: to support formation and development projects in the Institute and in the poorest countries where there are always many distress calls. She gave information about projects that the Centre has financed in several countries.
Report on Mission Animation
Sr. Milia Khouairy, who is in charge, spoke to the Sisters about the ministry of the Sisters who share their missionary experiences in the parishes at the invitation of the dioceses. The parishioners show interest and in their own way participate in our missionary projects by their generous donations. This special mission is a direct way of making our Institute known in its internationality and of sharing our Franciscan spirituality.
Report on the Mission in the Far North
Sr. Doriça Sever, who is working in the Far North, believes that this mission corresponds to our FMM priorities: of going to the poor and the most distant.
The mission in Arviat is a response to an urgent appeal:
-to form Inuit lay animators
-together with the Inuit animators, take responsibility for pastoral ministry of the Sacraments, the liturgy, formation and catechesis
